Let's rebuild the foundation for our Vets by providing Urban-Farm-Home where they can work & live. “The New Veteran Lifestyle”
According to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, 37,828 veterans are homeless on any given night. We’re not just trying to end veteran homelessness but create a self-sustainable and healthy lifestyle.
What’s the difference with our program? We have the formula to provide the veteran with training, employment, and making each veteran self-sufficient and self-sustainable. The Vets should have the opportunity to become an entrepreneur business owner in the Vet2Farmers Development program. We shall build a Vets2Farmers community with Tiny-Homes and Hydroponic Greenhouse Urban Farm.
The Vets2Farmers program shall provide care and training in becoming a Veteran Farmer. This will be for a transitional period, where the homeless Vets can call it their home.
The Vets shall be provided free Room & Board during the 2 weeks certification training program in hydroponics farming. Thereafter, provided a job.
Once Vets are able to build creditworthiness (about 6-12 months), we shall assist the Vets to find affordable Urban-Farm-Home utilizing VA & USDA programs. The Vets can become Entrepreneur Business Farmer.
The Vets2Farmers business model presents an opportunity for each individual Entrepreneur Farmer a yearly revenue of over $100,000. We are enlisting our Vets on the road to financial independence and being self-sustainable.
Our goal is to build a community of Veterans, so they can live among people with similar experiences. (As suggested by the VA's studies, which illustrates to be the ideal living atmosphere for their stability and happiness ... “camaraderie”)
The average American farmer is 58 years old and is nearing retirement.
The USDA estimates the nation needs 100,000 new farmers to replace them over the next decade.
Hundreds of thousands of American veterans, including those who volunteered for the military after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, are separating from the service every year and seeking meaningful careers in the civilian sector.
There are about 10-20 veterans suicide everyday, who need our help to care, train, and rebuild their lives. Become self-sustainable.
Americans are increasingly purchasing local and organic food – the market share grew more than 10 fold in the last decade, despite a major recession.
Veterans are 45 percent more likely to start their own businesses than other Americans. And they have the physical and mental toughness to forge successful careers in agriculture. Years of service have honed their ability to lead; to work independently or as part of a team; to plan, adapt, and overcome crises; and to accomplish whatever mission is before them.
The business model shows individual revenues over $100,000 per year.
Provide jobs for veterans after they learn how to become a Hydroponic farmer.
Help them find affordable farmhouse & land utilizing VA & USDA programs.
Provide easy market access for the Fresh Food they produce to satisfy the robust and growing public demand. And reinvigorate the farm sector with skilled new growers, eager to begin their next phase of life.
Vets2Farmers Program is a multilayered, hands-on educational program that develops new farmers; capitalizes on the growing market in local, sustainably grown foods; and encourages entrepreneurship and job creation..
The housing will be available for homeless Veterans with on-the-job training and permanent jobs. We shall assist to build their credit.
We shall assist these Vets to build their credit with a secured job. In transitioning from temporary housing to becoming an Urban-Farm-Home owner within 6-12 months.
We shall assist the Vets with finance programs provided by the VA and USDA to finance the Home & Farm. These Vets will become Entrepreneur Farmers.
There are 18.2 million veterans in the US and 1.3 million active-duty soldiers. The average suicide rate of veterans is 22 every day. We need to help our veterans help themselves with a new veteran lifestyle and proud to be an American Vet again.
There will be houses build to accommodate special needs of the Vets, such as ADA conformity and convenient living area layout.
Provide training & continuing education, temporary & permanent housing within the community, and Co-op farming to share workload and responsibility. Live amongst Vets…Camaraderie! .
All you Veterans, we call upon you for our country again.
We need you to help feed America, town-by-town with locally grown Fresh foods.
Become a Veteran Farmer and on the way to being independent and an entrepreneur farmer owner.
Hydroponics is the future for growing Organic Fresh Fruits & Vegetables.
